The Three Broomsticks was bursting with life as Remus, Sirius, James, Peter, and Lily sat at a table discussing what Lily and James were going to do for their wedding. Lily's idea was a very elegant, muggle wedding that she wanted to invite her family to, while James and Sirius kept coming up with magical ways to have a wedding. Remus kept agreeing with Lily while Peter stayed silent, listening to the arguments, and drinking his butterbeer. "There is this gown by Priscilla of Boston that I keep looking at. I can try it on in London and I think it's the one I want," Lily explained to Remus. "Do you want to join me when I go?" "Of course I want to go. Sirius knew there was a boggart in Number 12, Grimmauld Place. He also knew he did not want to fight it alone. Thankfully, Remus said he would help. So the next morning, they grabbed their wands and some chocolate before heading into the drawing room. Taking a moment to make sure they were both ready, Remus opened the drawer and when it appeared, it found Sirius' weakness. It turned into Remus and fell to the floor dead. Immediately, Sirius fell to his knees and started crying leaving Remus in shock before casting the spell needed and watching the boggart leave. "Sirius," Remus said softly. "I don't want to talk about it, Remus," Sirius panted softly. "Me Sirius? Why me?" "I can't tell you," he muttered shaking his head. "You can tell me anything. I won't judge you." "Yes, you will." Sirius' favorite toy as a child was his toy broomstick. This should not be much of a surprise because he grew up loving flying and quidditch. But James did not see it coming when Sirius bought Harry his first broomstick. The moment Lily told him she was pregnant, Sirius made it his mission to find a toy broomstick and even though it took almost two years, he found one. He even made sure it had Harry's name on it in gold lettering. Sadly it would be twelve years before he saw Harry fly and twelve years before he bought Harry his next broomstick, yet this one was not a toy.

There were a few things that made Sirius Black upset. But there was one thing that upset him the most. He could not stand to see Remus hurt. It did not matter how or why he got hurt, it always made him upset. The last time was a few nights ago during the full moon. He hurt himself while being locked up and Sirius knew there was nothing he could do but sit and let him heal. Nothing till he became an animagus that is. Then he would make sure that Remus never got hurt again.

The things that made Sirius Black happy twelve years ago, are not the same things that make him happy now. For one, just being out of Azkaban made him happy. There were no dementors either. It also made him happy to watch Harry fly. His godson was an amazing flier and watching him reminded Sirius of watching James fly. The only part about watching Harry fly that upset him was that James would never see it. But the thing that made him the happiest was a certain person that has been in his life for the past twenty-two years. The only thing was, he never told him how he felt. He was afraid to. What if he did not feel the same way? In the end, he refused to say a word. He rather be friends than not have him in his life.

Sirius walked down each isle of the grocery store looking at every item. Remus has asked him to pick up one item, but he did not even know what macadamias were. He was starting to get frustrated when a young lady looked his way. "May I help you find something today?" "Yes," Sirius answered. "Macadamias please." "Right this way," she said leading him to an isle on the other side of the store before showing him a tin of macadamia nuts. "Thanks," he smiled watching her leave. His eyes went between the macadamias and a tin of mixed nuts that said they also have macadamias in them. Not knowing which one, he picked up a tin of both. Moving down the isle towards check out, he paused. This isle also had muggle chocolate which he knew Remus liked. Looking at all the options, he grabbed a few different ones, a bag of chips, and a bag of dried meat. Smiling he checked out and went back home. "Remus, I got you a few things while I was at the store." "Thanks," he smiled unpacking the bag.

Remus kept in contact with Sirius, James, and Lily all summer. Thankfully James' parents convinced his that he would be safe for the full moon and he would get to spend the last month of vacation with his friends. What he did not know was Lily had talked her parents into getting them movie tickets to a very odd film in London on opening day. With a little help from Lily, Remus was able to explain what a drive-in movie theater was to James and Sirius. The plan was to meet at Lily's house and her parents would take two vehicles. Once there, they were going park the first vehicle at screen one and leave the kids while her parents and sister took the other vehicle to screen two to see a different film. The only reason Lily invited James was because Sirius was living with him and she knew it would be rude not to.
